My Card Expires in Exactly Two Weeks

I don't know what to do. My HR at work has been hounding me. Theres not much I can do and I'm afraid I will lose my job. Right now I'm coming up with scenarios just in case my card doesn't arrive in time. I know I sound pessimistic but the first time wasn't a smooth ride either.

Propose to HR that you'll work as an unpaid intern once your work permit expires. And after it gets renewed you'd like to go back to being a paid employee at your old pay scale. I only recommend this as a way to save face and not have to get fired and be embarrassed. I'll be doing this myself, if God forbids, mine expires before the renewal gets approved. Best of luck!

I work at a store so i dont think thats possible. I trying to save up a bit more these days. It sucks. I think I applied too late. Im looking at your timeline and that's good. I made a huge mistake.

I read on the USCIS Website that they can do this? when you are Renewing.

Note: If USCIS is unexpectedly delayed in processing your renewal request, we may provide deferred action and employment authorization for a short period of time until we finish processing your request. We may do this if you filed your request at least 120 days before your current period of deferred action and employment authorization expire.

Everyone keeps saying this is no longer valid, but I'm hoping it is valid, since Nebraska seems to be on the slow side.

Load of bullshit, they don't provide temporary EADs ever, best case scenario you might get a nunc pro tunc DACA, just so you don't accrue illegal presence between expiration and approval.
