Graduate School Database for Dreamers

Hello there. So I am currently an MA student and I plan to apply for doctoral programs this coming fall. When I was applying for MA programs I realized how few resources there were for Dreamers seeking answers for basic questions on the admission process, let alone the actual working of graduate programs. There are a few support groups like GRADD, but frankly the current resources provided are minimal.

I hope to remedy this by doing a systemic survey of research universities in the coming months to address the following three points:

*Admissions Process (Do we apply as international students? When do we submit the AB540 form? Are we even welcomed to apply? etc. etc.)
*TA/RA ships (Are we eligible to work for the university as graduate assistants?)
*Access to university fellowships

I was wondering if anyone would be interested in joining me in this endeavor. The work should consist of just making a few emails and calls; nothing too taxing. Throw me a private message if you're interested in helping out.

I'll post the initial draft of my survey up here once I get some concrete results.

https://graduateschoolfordreamers.wo...graddirectory/

I have begun my project. I have data for UCSF, UCSC, and UCSB so far. I'm still waiting to hear back from the rest of the UCs and am in the process of collecting data from the CSUs.

I think I'm covering all the major bases (e.g. are ta/ra-ships available, fee waivers, etc.) but if I'm missing anything major feel free to comment.

Oooooh this might be useful for us all!!

I need to go to grad school but they don't accept someone who isn't legal and citizens...
I need to have at least student visa... until CIR or Federal Dream Act passes, there is no chance for me...

Hopefully, others will be able to go far as they can to prove that we are making different in this country...

I'll also look into research and share them here as well :_)

Well from my early responses thus far I think UC Merced, Santa Cruz, and Santa Barbara seem to be the most sympathetic to our situation.

I mean, I know there are dozens of us in the CSU system for Masters program. I can't think of anyone who is doing a PhD though. There is that one girl at Claremont, but that's it.
