Tax return question.

Does anyone know, If I can get the amendment for the past 3 years if I didn't claim a child? I will claim my son this year. His dad usually claimed him since he is a USC, and I have done all my taxes, but hardly received anything.

No, I am aware that I can't include my son in the past 3 tax returns because his dad already reported him. I will include him in my 2014 tax return.

I was a question in regards to taxes as well. Does the fact that my husband (a U.S. citizen) will add me (DACA recipient) in his taxes affect his tax returns?

The time limit for claim of refund (Amendment by 1040X) is the later of:
3 years after original return was due OR
2 years after payment of tax.

So I would say yes, you can go ahead and amend those returns and get the refund.

Yes it will. Because your return will be filed as MARRIED FILING JOINTLY. The filing status affects everything including the deductions and tax rates.

After reading this, I am now not sure why you're asking about amending your previous 3 returns ? Nevermind what I said before now.

Would you guys know if it would decrease the refund amount or increase? I provided no income.

Depends on what your husbands income is. I don't think it will make a difference but we need more info to tell you for sure. Like I said, there will be no additional refundable credits coming your way by adding you since you have ITIN.
