I got my two years w2, renewed ead, decent salary, and I also got good saving in my chase account. Still I tried two branches and Both said that my b1/2 visa is not eligible for mortgage.

Any one know other commercial bank that allows us to get home mortgage?

I tried and googled the words "daca bank mortgage" and the first link that came up was BB&T bank. They have a dedicated page for DACA beneficiaries and talk about home ownership. Hope that helps.

When i bought my townhouse back in 2009, I showed Wells Fargo my h1b approval notice, 140 approval notice but they did not accept it. They want a copy of my tourist visa. Good thing the year on my visa that time was valid till 2011.

Another lender accepted my h1b approval notice and did not ask for my tourist visa so i guess each lender has it's own requirements. Try Wells Fargo or other banks. It's good to shop around also to get dfferent rates.

Stay as far away from chase. We had a horrible experience when we were buying our parents house with DACA. We ended up going with a local credit union and it went smooth! i would suggest you tried them.

I would recommend you talking to a Realtor they usually know what banks are good for what. At least that is what happened with me. Preferably a Hispanic one. If one don't know ask an other one.

As a Realtor who works with short sales. Let me tell you, no bank is a good bank. There are some banks that are a little better than others but please do your research! Also, don't overpay for a property you know you won't be able to afford if by any chance you lose your job and eventually be foreclosed in 2 years for defaulting on your mortgage.

I managed to get a mortgage through Chase, I m not sure why you werent able to get one.

I bought a house by myself (no cosigner) last week. In the same situation as you. What state are you in? Maybe I can recommend the mortgage company I worked with.
