Filing for AoS after AP

Hey Guys!

So, I finally filed for Adjustment of Status. So excited, since I've been waiting all my life for an opportunity like this (thanks, Obama!). It's almost the end of the road (does end till I become a citizen).

I got DACA on November 2012.
Renewed on October 2014
Advance Parole on December 12, 2015 for employment purposes (went to Juarez for one day to meet with a client (super easy, no problems).
Finally filed for Adjustment of Status on February 26, 2016. I am married to a USC, I have no criminal record or immigration record. Took me a few months to file because I had a baby in January.
I sent:

Cover letter
A check for $1,490 addressed to U.S. Department of Homeland Security
I-130:
I-130 application
G-325A one for me and one for my husband
Husband's birth certificate
Marriage license and certificate
One passport photo of me, one of my husband

I-485:
I-485 application
G-325A
2 passport photos of me
My birth certificate with English translation
Medical examination (doctor was really cool about it, since I just had a baby, I had all the shots and immunizations and I didn't have to pay extra, yay) Costed me about $205.00
My I-94 document
Stamped Advance Parole Document
I-864 application
2015 Federal Tax Return (only the 1040)
Husband's last pay stub as proof of current income
I-765 application filled out (instead of renewing DACA, I just filed for a new work permit, which will be good for year).
Previously issued EADs
Two passport photos of me

Of course, all documents are copies.

I hope this post is helpful!

I did all the work myself, but given that I do work for an immigration attorney, she reviewed my work, and signed the G-28s.

Wish me luck!

Good luck!

i too filed for AOS on 12/14/15 after traveling with AP. I recieved the biometrics appointment on 12/30/15 scheduled for 1/13/16. On 1/20/16 i got notice via email that my case was ready to be scheduled and just found out tonight that my appointment is set for 4/17/16 im excited and nervous at the same time.

I need to schedule a medical exam ASAP! As i did not send one with my AOS pachet. Is that process something that takes a lot of time to complete? I have exactly 1 month to get it done!

I was able to get in for an appointment within a week. I did have to return 3 days later for my TB test results, but that's it. I think it just depends on the approved clinic that's near you and how soon they can get you in.

Good luck! :-)

I need to do the same - but I never applied for AP - can I use your format to file my paperwork as well? EAD is set to expire in October - wondering if it'll get approved in time.

Re: Filing for AoS after AP

Hi guys!
I have been approved for conditional residence. I am so happy! Thanks to President Obama and his policies that helped make this possible. And many other dreamers that inspired me to not be afraid and apply for AP!
Although this journey doesn't end till I become a citizen, I feel a thousand pounds lighter.
The fights continues till all my fellow dreamers and our families have the same chance. Hugs!

Congratulations! I'm in the process myself. Already did my biometrics and just waiting for an interview date. You're right, this doesn't end until we become USCs and get to VOTE!
