Renewing DACA after the recommended period

Is there anyone who renewed after the 120 t0 150 days period?
If you renew after that period, are you just risking having your EAD and driver's license expire? Is there any worse consequence? I'm wondering because I might have to miss the period due to travelling with AP.

Even if you renew after that time, if you still get it approved before your DACA expires, is everything ok?

First question - people are just starting for the 120-150 day renewal suggestion. The first renewal didn't suggest 120-150 days.

The other questions: uscis.gov

I'm asking about the first set of renewals that happened in 2014. They had the 120-150 days recommendation at that time too.

I sent mine 96 days before my expiration date because uscis was developing the renewal app. However, i would not jeopardize my renewal just to be out on AP. What is more important for you? You could definitely lose everything.

Holy crap, we have like the same timeline! :) Hoping for a fast renewal.

What nonsense are you talking about? The recommended period was not stated by "us" people, it was recommend by USCIS itself. This is true for the i-821 and i-821d as well. ANY renewal had this recommended period stated since the inception of DACA and TPS

So what happens if you send it after the 120 days? USCIS will not extend you a provisional EAC if they don't process your application in time, making you vulnerable to deportation until you get your renewal approved.

Huh?
I think you misunderstood the language.
I meant that people have just started to send in renewals (for second renewals).
The OP then informed me that this language for 120-150 days started before the round of second renewals (maybe for those that renewed in 2015, meaning their initial was in 2013 instead of 2012)

As for the language about 120-150 days, I did not see this for my first renewal. I believe it was 90-120 or something with the 90's, but definitely not 120-150.

Anyways, I'll be sending in mine around the 130 day mark - I'll update if anything comes up.

That's the thing, the 150-120 period has always been there and you were suppose to get it 180 days before the expiration of your current EAC. Maybe your got lost in the mail but I have gotten those all the times I have renewed my 821D.

Re: Renewing DACA after the recommended period

I believe the timeline is a guide to help you apply and allow enough time for the DACA processing. I would recommend you stay within it because too early and you are giving yourself less time because your renewal DACA may renew too early. If you wait too late, then you risk getting delayed.

I have sent my DACA for a second renewal. That means that I had the original DACA, a renewal, and now a second renewal which had this 150 day timeline. I had already marked the timeline on my calendar but they also sent me mail telling me to renew. I got my biometrics scheduled pretty fast (within 3 wks), and now I am waiting on the renewal. I sent my renewal in Mid March, and my current DACA expires in mid August. I think they are trying to streamline the process too. I was able to sign up for online access to my account where I can go and see regular updates and even send in docs if they are requesting additional ones. I haven't had to send extra documents so I don't know how that process works exactly
