Jesuit universities and Dreamers?
Hi there,
Haven't posted for a while but I've been keeping up with the site. Anyway, as you guys know my gf and I are going to transfer soon (in a year). We want to expand our options, so we were wondering if Jesuit universities have any help for Dreamers. So I e-mailed a bunch of western Jesuit universities. I already know Santa Clara U does have aid, and San Francisco U has not replied yet. Here are the responses from Seattle: No, Seattle University does not offer any financial aid of any kind for undocumented students. Thanks. and Gonzaga: You would need to contact the department of your interest for outside opportunities. In order to receive funds from our department you must be matriculated. Not sure what that last one means, but I think it's a no. Any of you guys know of any others nationwide that do? |
Re: Jesuit universities and Dreamers?
Loyola Universtiy in Chicago is a Jesuit university. I never asked them for financial aid or told them about my status, but when I applied for undergrad they just gave me a $7000 renewable scholarship. It still would've cost about $21,000/year with the scholarship and that's NOT including room and board!
