HELP!!! DACA expires and I need Advanced Parole!!
 

Hello everyone, I am new to this site and I want to say thanks to everyone who is involved.

Anyways, I got selected to be part of the "Dreamers without Boarders". It will give me a chance to go to Mexico for the last three weeks of December.

The problem: my DACA expires on November 21st and I submitted my renewal package 2 months ago. I also had my biometrics taken 2 weeks after that. So now, I am just waiting for the actual renewal. I have to apply to advanced parole (in the next 2 or 3 weeks) in order to go out the country which will be from December 7 to February 3.

So a conflict of interest exists. I have to request Advanced Parole for a time period where my DACA had expired because I am still waiting on the renewal.

So my question is: should I still submit an Advanced Parole application even though I have not received a renewal?

Is there suggestions from what I can do??

I would and have faith the renewal will be done in time. If it's done you're out of whatever AP charges if your case takes longer but if it's renewed in time then you can leave ASAP.

Well i sent my renewal and AP request at the same time. I believe i saw someone get approved for AP even after their Daca expired. Obviously you cannot leave the country without an approved daca. i requested AP like 20 days after my daca expires. Well see

You can't really do much really. At this point you just gotta hope both are approved at the sametime

I did the same thing. My EAD expires October 08... Sent my daca in MAY and applied for AP in July.

Alright, thanks guys. I suppose I shall send AP and hope for the best.

I was thinking of attaching a letter explaining the circumstances and include the receipt number I received for the DACA application.

Just a heads up, I was in a similar situation. I just got approved for DACA/EAD but my AP case is still pending. In the application I explained the situation, and let them know I can submit evidence of DACA approval, but I'm sure they have access to that information anyway. I'll let you know if they request anything, or if I get approved for AP.

I know you are probably stressed waiting for your renewal. I hope it all works out on time.

I have a question and I was hoping you could answer, please.

I've been thinking about applying for advance parole for a educational or work purposes. But I'm little confused as to what evidence I would need. So my questions are: if I register for a learning experience abroad, would that count even if it's not for college credits? what kinds evidence would I use to satisfy the requirements for educational purposes? Hi, I have a question I want to apply for advanced parole for July 2017 to stay for two months ( so my kids can go with me and meet grandpa) To visit my father who's been diagnosed with skin cancer. I'm planning to apply for advanced parole in January. My DACA will expired on September 2017. Should I file for advanced parole and my renewal?

AFAIK, you're supposed to file for renewal 120 days before it expires. January to September is way more than 120 days, so only apply for AP.
