Hey everyone! Well i am new to this site and i just want to say hi to everyone. My story is very similar to most of yours. I came to Oregon when i was 5 with my mom. We've been here ever since and now that i am a senior about to graduate i am having problems with college. I really want to go to a vocational school and become a cosmetologist but i am having problems regarding my legal status. I have a question, I was reading on an article the other day that there is now hope anymore for the Dream Act is this true? My hopes right now are so low and i would like to hear what you guys think and any of you that have gone to college regardless your legal status and your experience. Thanx for reading!

hey welcome to DAP ..

well as of right now .. theres nothing regarding the Dream act or any kind of CIR .. so we have to wait i guess till someone in congress brings it back up.. we are expecting some sort of CIR or DREAM for 09 .. we can only hopE,, well just stick around and dont give up ! :wink:

hey welcome to dap, i went to college, got a degree and im undocumented. so its possible depending on which state you live in you can either pay instate tuition or outstate...there is a sticky posted somewhere that says which state provide instate tuition..

so what country are you originally from?

welcome to dap, unfortunately there is no instate tuition for undocumented in oregon, im not sure if you would like to stay in that state for college.

*another thing, the state of washington, offers, Drivers Licenses, for undocumented, although i would advise, you to talk to a lawyers, so they can set that up for you. I would of done the same, but I live in Nevada, and thats pretty far from Washington.
