DACA and unemployment
 

Hello everyone

Well I know this has been ask before but I havent read much about it.
Im wondering of we are able to apply for unemployment? I have DACA.
I work for the carpenters union and its been really slow. I have heard that once you apply for unemployment the company that I was working for will usually call me back for work in a few days.
Thats the only reason why I want to apply for it.
Any advices will be appreciated

Depends on your state. In Maryland for sure you can, I did last year.

I don't think they ask for details regarding your status. They pull out all your data from your ss#. I suggest you apply for it and if you don't qualify they'll let you know. I know for sure you can in IL, VA, and NC.

I live in Minnesota from what I read on their website all I need is a valid work permit
