Attorney Consultation- Sponsorship
 

Hi guys,

I just had a consultation with an immigration attorney about my case and she told me the best route to legalization is employment sponsorship. From what I have read in the past, it seems like employment sponsorship is not allowed for DACA holders. Is this true?

My case:
Came into country at age of 11 on visitor's visa.
Parents overstayed visa
Got DACA when I was 18
Just received my 3rd renewal last month.

Have any of you heard of something like this being done?

Lawyer doesnt know anything.

employment sponsorship is almost imposible. Only way is if you invented a way to turn time back.

The moment your visa expire you started accruing time. After 180 days that's a ten year ban.

Your lawyer might be right, it depends on whether or not you have any family that are USC or PR.

The only way for you to get a GC through your company is if they put you through the EB3 process. And you can prove hardship to a USC / PR parent or child. Look into the provisional waiver (I-601A), proving hardship to a parent is the hardest part. Not many lawyers will wanna take your case but it's worth a shot, IMO.

Exactly not many lawyers will want to take the case because it is impossible. The ones that do are just taking your money.

You need a new lawyer. Your lawyer is either stupid or he's just taking your money.

It's not impossible, it depends on your situation. Sometimes there's no hardship of course.

Lol, also It would require 245i still because of prior unlawful presence.
