My court day is coming any advice?? Cause I'm scared
 

I'm not sure if some of you remember my thread about 2 months ago about the police catching me for speeding on my way to my final and took my car. My parents already paid for the car which was about $1200. But now my court date is coming. Does anyone have any advice. Do you think the judge might ask me why I don't have a license. Also, I heard there was a way to pay your ticket by doing community service or somehting like that. PLEASE HELP ME!!!

Ive been to court before.
The again I have a license.... so my experience is completely different from yours.
Well, don't think its only you and thats it.
There will be PLENTY of cases in front of yours (remember you're no the only one in the world with an infraction) and then you'll be called to defend yourself unless you have a lawyer....
In which case, tell the story how it is.
DO NOT LIE!
And dont be nervous, remember that you have rights as a human being!
Depending on the judge you will get your ruling
I lost against the state, but, I got points off the total amount.
To top it off a spanking 540$ ticket plus court fees........

About your absentee license.... I wish I could tell you what to say about that =\

I've been to traffic court because i drove without a license and nothing happened, the judge even took $100 off my ticket.

lol, exactly. I've been pulled over a few times without a license. I usually get the cops to let me go except for one time. Here's how the court went....next...driving without a license, do you have proof of a license now?? nooo....$500, nexttt....

This is one of the most routine things ever.
First of all, don't be afraid. Traffic judges and courts are notoriously impatient. They will not wait and ask you a millions questions if they can get you out quicker than that. Second of all, there will be many people there so you'll be in and out in a hurry. Lastly, don't be afraid. I have a friend (also with no license) here who gets ticketed probably twice a month for speeding. Its really a routine thing. The first time the judge forgave the ticket cuz he was ineligible for a license. And I live in one of the most anti-immigrant states in the nation.

Apparently, neither did Joan of Arc, even though she was a French citizen. Most people don't know that she was fighting her own people in the hundred years war. I thought if they catch you driving without a license you would get into a big mess if you're undocumented. Mess as in maybe getting deported. Since its considered a felony and all.

anyone know what happens to drivers with an expired license? I'm not sure if they would count that as a "no license." I had a buddy that drove with an expired license for like a year and all he got was a ticket.

I thought so because my dad got caught driving with a North Carolina license while living in FL and here its considered a state felony not having a valid FL license. So i thought not having one at all was worse.

And about seeing it for myself, no, im too scared to try lol :(
