Can we file for self-sponsor Green Card?

Since some of us are super educated and hold M.S and Ph.D degree, it is possible for those people to file a petition for self-sponsor green card under "extraordinary person" or " National interest"? I was talking to my boss a few days ago and he suggested this idea. Also this could be a plan B for some of us if things go bad in the next few weeks.

No, it doesn't. He has a Masters, but he had a lot more.

I did some reading. To be considered extraordinary, you don't even have to hold any degree. You can be super talented in other area like sport, music, art, etc..

To be consider for the national waiver thing, you have to be working on something that are within the national's interest like research on renewal energy, material, biotech and healthcare.

You can file an EB-1, or have an employer file an EB-2 NIW, however unless you're covered under 245(i) or 245(k)*, you won't be able to adjust. In this event if you meet the qualifications the I-140 will be approved and I-485 denied.

* - 245(k) is basically not applicable to DACA recipients.

I've looked into it; didn't seem plausible but seems like Indians are getting them w/o much achievements to their names. If you are in research USCIS makes it sound like you need 100+ research papers, several awards at the national & international level (think Nobel, Fields, NSF) and years of academic experience.

Was reading a thread in an immigration forum and some researchers were frustrated because ppl w/o said qualifications were somehow getting in.
