Is it a good idea to get a new job, assuming EAD allowed to expire?

Assuming DACA ends, but EAD is allowed to expire, is it a good idea/safe to look for a new job now? My current job is pretty crap pay, but the company didn't really check my EAD, and hasn't asked for it during renewals, so I feel pretty secure with this job even if DACA is gone. But if I want to move up in life and find myself a girl, I do want to get a better paying job with more opportunities. Assuming DACA ends early in Trump's presidency, but EAD is allowed to run until expiration, is it a good idea to switch jobs now?

I'd like to know, too. I just signed an offer with a new company for more money and better responsibilities. I'm ready to turn in my two weeks' notice but then remembered that the inauguration is tomorrow...

I feel like I should go for it, since my bf and I are gonna get married soon anyway. Plus, if the EAD is gonna expire in 2018, why wouldn't I try to make more money so I can save more in the meantime? But I'm still kind of hesitant.

I think you should wait until at least next week and see how things unfold.

With all assumptions that they let us keep our EAD... yeah I'd proceed on getting that job. Keep yourself busy on whatever they have planned or not planned. My grandpa would always say:

I say go for it. I actually went back to school and found a part time position with a new company utilizing my previous experience from working full time.

But what about e-verify? I read some guys in the news section talking about e-verify might not work with our non-expired EADs once DACA ends.

This is my concern as well.

I had my final interview for a better job today, I'm confident I will get an offer but now I don't know if I'll accept it.

I believe that as long as they do not touch or retroactively remove EAD from being active, then E-VERIFY will still maintain that we are eliglible to work. After all, why would they allow EAD's to continue but allow E-Verify to say we are not eligible.

I'm worried about the post - dated EADS. Will they be useless once they reach "valid" date?

It's anyone's guess at this point

I guess it's up Bridge Act to give us some hope
