Bridge Act to be Attached to Trump's Budget?

Trump to ask for border wall money — but only a little

...Several lawmakers on both sides of the aisle anticipate that it could get attached to a provision protecting recipients of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals -- former President Barack Obama's policy granting some protections from deportation and work authorization to undocumented immigrants who were brought to the US as children and are otherwise clear of criminal records...

I keep telling you :D hopefully it happens. April might be a good month for us.

Hope it's more than the bridge act.

Interesting,

I have a feeling that either democrats or republicans are not going to be on board with this...

also, I wish they could do something to make protection from deportation for a longer amount of time.

If this is indeed the case, democrats will have to vote for it.

We are about to see if the democrats really care about the issue as they say they do.

how nice, its the kick the can down the road and pray to jesus bill.

Let me tell you how this will play out, and why it's there. Its so they can easily kill DACA. Right now it's a mess to kill, but after these 3 years, it's going to be way way easier to kill.

Anyone who thinks the republicans will happily try and help us out, are delusional and should check themselves into the closest mental health institution.

It is that, or the bill fails to pass...

Trump and Bannon rage and they repeal DACA to look like winners anyways..

Needs to be something more permanent than the Bridge Act, or as DogJuiceMan said, it's going to be way way easier to kill our status in 3 years.

There was another article today on Bloomberg but I can't find it. It says that they'll attach it to a border security bill later during the year. So either in April or later during the year

I found it "Three Republican senators have introduced legislation with Democrats to shield about 750,000 young undocumented immigrants from deportation if Trump cancels a 2012 order from President Barack Obama that let them stay in the U.S. Similar bipartisan legislation is pending in the House.

Senator John Cornyn of Texas, the No. 2 Republican leader, has said that legislation could be included in border security legislation this year."
