AOS through USC wife and grandfather under 245i

Hello all,

I saw a lawyer back in December for a consultation and this Saturday I will be going to see her again to finally start the application process. Anyways she gave a me a list of all the fees I will be paying along with some basic documents I need to bring like my birth certificate, my wife's naturalization certificate and her tax returns. She is aware of my EWI and how I am grandfather under 245i by my uncle's petition for my dad. My question is do I bring her a copy of that application when it was submitted or does it suffice that I have that application's receipt number? Also what other documents should I bring?

Bring yours.. I took my 245, if you don't want any delays bring it.. All the lawyer does is make a copy of it.. They don't actually take the original document.

isnt that why you're paying the lawyer, to answer these questions?

I haven't paid her yet to file the paperwork, only for a consultation. She might have mentioned it during the meeting but I forgot, I am just making sure.

Basically 241i allows him to stay in the country while he is adjusting his status and he does NOT have to leave the country.
