Traveling w/ Advance Parole 2017
I, like many on this forum, are curious about any new AP experiences after President Trump's inauguration.
Here are some stuff that makes me a bit more comfortable to travel with AP, but do share any personal experiences. Please note that USCIS website state's that things are being reviewed. (somewhere on their pg I cannot find where I read.) ___ According to the new, revised, "Travel Ban" Executive Order protecting the US from foreign terrorism (Mexico not being one of the 6 countries listed), we are still allowed to travel on ADVANCE PAROLE, SEE SECTION 3(B)(iii) "Sec. 3. Scope and Implementation of Suspension. ... (b) Exceptions. The suspension of entry pursuant to section 2 of this order shall not apply to: ... (iii) any foreign national who has a document other than a visa, valid on the effective date of this order or issued on any date thereafter, that permits him or her to travel to the United States and seek entry or admission, such as an advance parole document; ..." And immediately after these words, there is further info to protect your reentry into the country. Re: Traveling w/ Advance Parole 2017
I was just approved to travel on Advance Parole through DACA 3/18 and received all my documents 3/23. This is really good to read right now, since I am hoping to travel 4/14..
I hear negative things about traveling and that I shouldn't because of the risk, others say go for it so it's been difficult to decide. I have also heard that most everyone has positive stories and not been denied reentry. Overall I feel very blessed about having this opportunity, and after 20 years I get to visit my family and most importantly my grandma who is not in the best health conditions. I CAN'T WAIT! God willing, I will have safe travels and a safe return :D |

If you have a history with the law, removal orders, ect ect then traveling outside the country is a big no
If youre clean, no history then you are good |
Re: Traveling w/ Advance Parole 2017
My husband and I just traveled last weekend with his AP to Mexico. Thank God the whole process was really smooth for us. We traveled by plane and entered through LAX.
His stamp on his passport was set to expire in one day. Is that going to be an issue? |
