USCIS: Undocumented Parents
My fellow dreamers,
Many of us have undocumented parents and for those who have AOS interviews, or interview with an immigration officer for a court order or removal proceedings, how do you respond to questions about your father or mom? For example, in AOS I've read that immigration officers can ask your wife or husband if they know your parents and if they know where they live. Can't they use this to go after our parents? Similarly when we fill out paperwork for DACA, can't USCIS use this to get to our parents? IMO I believe we should tell them the truth, because I do not believe they will go through the hassle to find out if they are legal. They do not know if they are undocumented. But if they ask explicitly if they are legal, how do we respond? Just something I wanted to bring up and discuss here. |

They asked me if my mom had papers during my interview.
