Second Renewal Questions
Hey everyone, hope you all are doing well & pushing towards that DACA dream!
I have a few questions concerning my second renewal. 1. Should I even put in my application to renew? My DACA expires on 12/4/2017 so the 150 day benchmark begins soon. 2. For Form I765WS, do the numerical values matter? I have a full-time job so I'm making $20K+, my car is primarily my only asset so I have roughly $20K on that and my liabilities are also roughly $20K. 3. For Form I765, question 11 asks "Have you ever before applied for employment authorization from USCIS?" What do I put for the dates? & also, it says to attach all documentation, do I have to do that (didn't do it for initial renewal and was granted) and what am I attaching exactly? 4. Are passport photos necessary? Name & A-Number on back too? 5. Who & where does the $495 money order go out to? Thank you for your help everyone, good vibes to all! |

2. Write down whatever is the truth. Don't inflate/deflate numbers. My assets are way more than my expenses and it was not a problem for them. 3. Put "Yes". Look at your EAD card; the valid from date is what you enter. Include a color copy of your EAD, front and back, with the application. 4. Yes, include passport photos. Some members here will say it is not necessary but why take the risk? Yes, write your full name and A# on the back of the photo. 5. Make the check or money order payable to U.S. Department of Homeland Security Hope this helps. |

2. Estimate as best as you can. I set up a spreadsheet where I listed all my income/expenses and got pretty close to a real figure. You may need this if they write back to you requesting more information as to how you came to the numbers. 3. Put the approval date of your previous employment authorization. Attach a photo copy of your current employment document and also the I-797(?) approval notice. 4. I'm not sure - I've included them both times to be safe. It's only $15 or so :/ 5. "U.S. Department of Homeland Security" (write out in full). This is from page 16 of the instructions. |

Re: Second Renewal Questions
Thank you both very, very much!
I will definitely heed all of your advice. So, on Form I765, #11 - I should use the "Valid From" date on my EAD card correct? Not the "Receipt Date" on the I797 approval notice form? |

Re: Second Renewal Questions
Hey guys, I'm finished with my forms and got everything prepped. I had a few final questions...
1. Does it matter if I printed the forms out in black and white or do they have to be in color? 2. Is there a particular way I should order the forms (paper clip everything together or each form separate)? 3. Should I buy my own envelope to put my forms in or just use the ones they give at the post office? 4. Which mailing post office should I use and should I pay for faster shipping? My DACA expires 12/04/2017, and as of today I have 132 days until then. |

2) I used the envelope from post office 3) It depends on what state you live in for where you mail it to. I always used the express envelope for USPS with a tracking number, so I know when it arrives. |
Re: Second Renewal Questions
I also had a question about renewal. I'm about to work on my forms, but since it's been almost three years since I've done this, I forgot what parts I was supposed to sign in ink after printing out the papers. Does anyone which parts I'm required to physically sign and where it's okay to type your name into? Last time I did this, my application got sent back to me because I didn't fill out the required spaces and charged me an extra $30 for accidentally skipping them.
