Stupid kid in Gov't class
 

Okay so there is this guy in my class who keeps making racist jokes and comments about illegal immigrants, obviously he doesn't know I am one because he tries to flirt with me all the time, isn't that ironic? Anyway, how can I shut this guy up without getting out there that I am undocumented myself?

make fun of him or turn everybody in the class against him or call him out, or try to give him a taste of his own medicine, or just be like my best friends is illegal idk

Yeah I agree! You should totally lead him on and slip in that is not funny or attractive to make fun of illegals. That will change his mind :lol:

You could raise your hand and make a short but sweet defense using aspects of history, sociology, poli sci, and economics, or you could just tell him one of your best friends is illegal and has been here since she was..... [just use your own story] then see how he reacts. If he makes a dumbass comment ("Report 'em and deport 'em! Illegal is illegal, even if your friend has been here since she was 2 years old... etc. etc.") then don't give him the light of day when he hits on you (that's if you are doing that in the first place, which I somehow doubt lol).

PS I have actually seen "REPORT 'EM AND DEPORT 'EM!" used before. As if DREAMers are animals or felons on the run. Infuriating. It sounds very militaristic and dehumanizing to me, not that I'm knocking the military, but I can't help thinking of soldiers pulling people out of their cars or off the bus and beating the crap out of them. Or scientists putting tags on people, for that matter. *Sigh* thank God it's not that bad, and I highly doubt it ever will be. I am a citizen, and I hope all you guys will be too someday. I mean, if my gf wasn't undocumented, I probably would know just what I heard on the news when it came to DREAM. And I hate to say it, but I probably would be against it. I mean, before I met my gf, immigration never even had crossed my mind. But being with my gf has made me more aware of things, thank God.

PPS Speaking of my gf, a while ago she tried to make an account here, but a confirmation was never sent to her e-mail account. I think it would help her so much if she actually could have a voice in this forum, instead of me just telling her about it lol. I'll get her to try again.

Kick him in the nuts. As a guy, I assure you that a kick in the nuts is the most effective deterrent against all evil.

Thankfully, I've been kicked in the nuts only once and it was the single most painful experience in my life.

My professor for that class is Mexican himself and he doesn't tell him anything lol
