Question about today's DACA ending announcement!

My current DACA expires 12/4/17, USCIS received my renewal application on 7/3/17. I had done my biometric on 7/14/17. It's currently pending.

Let's assume if my renewal got approved , then it expires on Sept 2019

Will my DACA continue to be valid until Sept 2019 or it will be invalid on March 5th, 2018
?

What does it mean for the date " March 5th, 2018'?

My friend's current DACA expires on 12/5/2018, so will his DACA expire on 12/5/18 or 3/5/18
?

Can someone help to clarify for me ?

Thanks very much !

So, 3/5/18 is not the official date which all DACA ends ( regardless of the expiration date it has )?

Once yours is approved it will remain active until it expires, Sept 2019.

Your friend won't be able to renew and will expire on 12/5/2018.

The date 3/5/18 is the cut-off date of all DACA renewal applications ONLY.

Basically, if your DACA expires between now and 3/5/18 then you can send a renewal application, applications will ONLY be accepted for the next 30 days.

Yes! You're one of the lucky ones. Send it now! You only have one month left to send in renewals expiring before March 5, 2018.

What are you waiting for? Go do it!!!

If you don't believe me, believe USCIS https://www.dhs.gov/news/2017/09/05/...-arrivals-daca!
