secured credit cards

I just found out today, so if anyone already knew this or posted this then sorry, i don't remember everything that is posted on this forum. But i remember someone asking if they could apply for a credit card on here. Im here to tell you that yess. you can. I was at BofA today to deposit some money into my account. The teller asked if i wanted to open a credit card account. So i told him that, i didn't have a SSN, he said that was no problem, what i would have to do since, i had not history of credit, I would have to get a secured credit card. He then told me that an application would be coming in the mail, and when i had the 300$ for the deposit, i just go back to the bank, and activate the credit card.

But secured credit card has to pay fee at the first 9 months. then you can change it become no any fee.

what are u talking about citi. You never help me sign up for anything.

Also, why don't you guys just get a debit card? I would only get a CC to improve my credit.

Dude (Ed), screw that secured credit card. Just sign up for the Student Visa Card. I helped another member on the forum sign up for it (Hi babe ;-)!). Anyway I had a chat with one of the Online Specialist, and he/she said that filling in your ITIN is acceptable for the SSN requirement.

Also on a completely pointless and random note, Photo Expressions will allow you to personalize your card with any picture you want to upload for the card design. I just got mine in the mail with a picture of me and a beautiful DREAMer/forum member. Now I would scan it and show it off, but for security reasons of allowing others to see my account number...I thought best not to. I wouldn't want those legals stealing my identity you know? (No offense Pingpong / VaeVictis & other legal members hehe)

Legal is legal!!!

thanks, i guess ill just wait for my ITIN to come in the mail.

Uh oh, Mario's going to be upset.

And anyway, I would wait for your ITIN and then apply for that student credit card. I haven't even used mine yet, though. Maybe I should so I can feel like a true American.
