Obtaining Maryland Drivers License

has anyone got their social security number the same day as applying at the SSN office? can they give some type of proof or something so you can get your license the same day

They give you a print out with your number on it which is all you need to show the DMV. Make sure you ASK for it though.

About 2-4 days, it's send as priority so should be able to get it fast.

You will need the actual Social Security card and your work permit. The MVA needs to make a copy of them both. Do you currently have a license with the the print "Not Valid For Federal Purposes" ? If you do i would suggest keeping it. If you are going to Glen Burnie I would suggest going very early since you don't get a regular ticket, an officer needs to verify your documents and they take their sweet time.

i think your mva might be more strict. most people i've asked say they just give you a paper copy and it works

What do you mean? There are only 9 MVA offices in the state of Maryland. Glen Burnie being HQ. Just a guess but I'm sure you are not on the eastern shore or Cumberland Area and since you are not familiar the GB thus you're probably in Silver Spring and the nearest one to you would be White Oak.
