shopping for a laptop

.. HEY Everyone!!
I've missed you so! :))
I'm just loving life and excited that our three candidates support a fair immigration reform. Not to mention i am head over heals for Obama - his speeches literally take my breath away

Anyway... I'm buying a laptop but I don't want to spend too much on it, but I want it to be good - any suggestions?
Thanks!! xoxo

if you go to your local bestbuy ive seen really good ones for $500-600. sometimes they'll have a sale, and compaq's or HP's are 450$. or if you're shopping online.. try overstock.com or newegg.com. they have good laptops at reasonable prices. make sure you're laptop is at least 1-2gb of ram, and 80-100gb of HD space. anything less is obsolete.

I'm buying a Macbook pretty soon.

my advise is dont waste your money on cheap laptops , you are gonna regret it later, wait until you save enough money and get something thats worth it.

Get a Macbook Air, I love my mac air, I can't live with out it I even sleep with it no joke lol. Well yea it is expensive but I NEVER have to worry about it crashing or just acting up on me I got it in February and its still fast and like new, I seriously will never buy a PC again, ever. Well I'm guessing the macbooks are the same way you you should really consider a Mac.

What will you be using your laptop for and how much are you willing to spend Mblu?

No, macs are not "worth it".

Actually if you're paying over 600 for a laptop to do simple stuff like write papers and surf the net, your paying too much.

Pc's are best bang for the buck. Apple likes to overprice things. Get an HP or a Dell, there's some really nice HPs out there, but Dells are usually cheaper.
