We wanted the government to shut down we got it, now where do we go from here ? what if they still don't have a deal ? last time Republicans shut down the government and wanted to get rid of Obamacare, they didn't get what they wanted. Can someone please explain.

Eh...I lost hope in Congress a long time ago, so I think Dems will probably get nothing out of this shut down. Trump just announced he will not discuss immigration until the government opens again, but after this shut down is over Dems will be able to say they shut down the govt for DACA and that is why people need to vote for more Democrats, etc, etc. Just renew your EAD like everyone else is doing for 2 more years of peace and try to find a citizen to marry.

Unfortunately, I agree with you. Republicans and Trump don't care. They are stubborn as fuck. They will not discuss immigration until the government opens again.

government can't be opened until Dems agree to it so they have the better hand. They're standing with us.

Honestly, it took so damn long for the democrats to get a back bone and shut it down. I'm praying that they don't cave in and accept a less than mediocre bill in hopes of negotiations.

well...that shutdown didnt last long. Dems dont have any balls. Just gave the people a one day furlough and back to business as usual for a mere promise from Majority leader to bring up the bill. He promised the same thing last time! lol.
