OPINION: What deal will pass?
 

I think the deal will be something like this if any: 12 year path citizenship for DACA enrolees only, with ability to sponsor nuclear family members only (mother and father) with parents unable to sponsor anybody else. Merit-based immigration system (lottery visa and H1B Visa for spouses of skilled workers go out the window), increased border security with "smart wall" that is being pitched around congress, expedited deportation of future border walkers, and if republican play it well they might even get the e-verify system. What do you guys think? What deal do you think will pass? What are your ideas?

I believe that chain migration will be removed so even sponsoring a parent will not be allowed. Of course, I hope that I am wrong.

Scott Adams points out that 75% of Americans want to get rid of chain migration so Trump has leverage. Simply giving more money for the wall will not be enough when the American people are on the presidents side.
