USPS delays to Chicago
Anyone else sending renewal to the USCIS-Chicago and experiencing mail stuck in-transit?

I paid 60 bucks to have my packet delivered guaranteed next day by ups with signature I got my biometrics a week later.

Re: USPS delays to Chicago
This happens to my sister!
She sent in her renewal, on January 19 via certified mail. It was supposed to arrive at the Chicago lockbox on Monday Jan 22 but it didn’t. Status of the package keep saying that it was delayed and in transit. Her package finally arrived yesterday. After 2 weeks it finally got delivered 😒 |
Re: USPS delays to Chicago
Thanks for the response all. I sent it on 1/23/18 and it was suppose to arrive 1/26/18 but update has been stuck in transit to Chicago since 1/27/18...

Re: USPS delays to Chicago
After the fiasco last October I can no longer trust USPS. I sent my renewal next day UPS. Arrived when it was supposed to.

Re: USPS delays to Chicago
I sent via USPS express mail and it was delivered on the next day. From NJ to Chicago. I never had problems sending it as express mail with signature required. I did have problems receiving the documents though. They misplaced my second EAD and USCIS made me pay $495 for a replacement. USCIS should use some better shipping methods as that regular envelop, if it gets lost, you're screwed.

Re: USPS delays to Chicago
Be advised. It's gonna snow heavily here for the next 2 days (it already started this evening).
If you can afford it, stick with fedex or ups. USPS doesn't really have accountability or reliability in my personal experience. |
