Well...If they have a thick accent I assume they weren't born here so I casually asked how long they've been here. If it's less than 5 years then I assume they're definitely not citizens. You can decide whether citizenship is a requirement of a longterm mate or not but in my case, I'd have to marry a citizen or we're going to have an even rougher life.
