WTF??!! Worst thing to wake-up to

Ok, I have seen a few threads with regards to USCIS making mistakes with regards to cards being produced but showing wrong date in the case status check portal etc.

However, this is what I am dealing with:

2:36 AM 06/02/2018
- I get a text from USCIS saying there is a case status update with regards to my I-765 part of DACA.

Now, you may ask, why might this worry anyone, especially when status updates are normally what all of us end up waiting for: I DO NOT HAVE A CURRENT DACA RENEWAL APPLICATION PENDING! MY PREVIOUS RENEWAL WAS APPROVED LAST SUMMER OF 2018 , and DOES NOT EXPIRE UNTIL THE BEGINNING OF AUGUST 2019.

The case status check shows exactly the same information as it did when I was approved last year. I have not had any arrests, not to mention convictions or in fact any type of negative/criminal interaction with law enforcement (on the contrary as part of my job in information security, I got to assist in close to a dozen investigations since 2015, including a bank robbery incident, and a case involving multiple armed robberies with the use of a firearm, carried out by a team of two perpetrators - one going into each place of business several hours in advance to examine the layout and placement of cash registers, with each robbery being carried out - in broad daylight by his accomplice armed with a firearm) since the most recent renewal.

The only one single negative mark on my record would be a speeding ticket from 4 years ago, for going 3 mph over speed limit in Nebraska. It ended up being only a $25 ticket, and while I was going 85 in 75 at night on interstate , my car had NY plates so I might as well had an outstanding warrant. However, the officer that pulled me over was literally too hot to be just a police officer with the highway patrol. It was the middle of the night and I was in a very rural area, and I actually was a bit worried about whatever sentiment towards immigrants might rule in that neck of the woods (having driven across the mainland and back I have encountered some really disturbing areas, including one where my girlfriend - a full-blooded American - and I were told by a waitress at a diner that it might be better for us to be on our way, as New Yorkers were simply not welcome in the area, all because the car we drove - an American car nonetheless - had NY plates), so I told her that I lost my license in another state (Wyoming) and was now heading back to NY, but provided all the info (they get to see your picture on their screens so its just a little extra work for the officer in reality) betting that our immigration status would not show up as part of the info provided. However, She was super nice, and only cited me for going 78 in a 75 just so the fine would be lower, but gave me a lesson about the fine for not having my license on me, or insurance card (that I did have, but just couldn't find the most recent printout among all the papers, while giving her all my info - while being interrupted and asked twice as part of routine procedure in situations like these to make sure I give the same info) and told me to have a safe and pleasant trip home.

It's probably a glitch in the system.

Probably the system is woke now, i think 2018 is supposed to be the year SkyNet takes over.

Wouldn't be surprised if a developer broke their code. Happened to me last week but I fixed it promptly.

If it makes you feel better, I got the same message about 2 weeks ago. I think we're severely overestimating the competency level of those who work for USCIS.

I still think waking up and finding out trump won the election is the worst thing. No offense... your is not even in the top 30... Call uscis and speak to a representative directly.
