e-verify self-check not working
I just tried running an e-verify self check against my info and could not get past the first step where you provide your name, address and social security to get to the soft questions regarding identity. I have reasonably long credit history (almost 10 years now), and have a DL, car insurance, registration and utility bill all in my name so I should be featured in most if not all databases .
I have never tried using the self check feature, nor have had any issues with my social security number. Am I just being paranoid and this is actually fairly normal for DACA recipients |
Re: e-verify self-check not working
I am able to check e-verify for my work authorization.
Not sure what to say :/ |
Re: e-verify self-check not working
Ok, apparently, if I do not provide my social security number in the first step then I can actually proceed to the soft questions and then can proceed to the further steps of the self-check all the way to the end that confirms my work authorization.
However, It is strange that my credit history is no longer linked to my social security number. I have had some issues with identity theft in the past and am still disputing two fraudulent credit cards someone was able to get in my name. |
Re: e-verify self-check not working
They may have done that so any fraudulent transactions does not impact your credit history.
