Traveling to Charlotte for Work

Does anyone have any experience they can share whether Charlotte NC is immigrant friendly (including daca)? I'm flying down there from NJ for work for about 4 weeks. Any places I should avoid?

Thanks in advance for the info!

Shouldn't you avoid the area altogether? Hurricane Florence is gonna smash into those states.

Charlotte is fine, why would it be any worse than NJ? You think we're all part of the KKK?

I wouldn't worry about being a dreamer in any state. It's not like they could profile us out of a crowd. We are perfectly assimilated.

I went there last November, it was fine. People are pretty nice there, theyre all either black or white. I barely saw any asian or hispanic peeps.

Its a majority black town, generally very democratic as large cities tend to be. Not a huge town the traffic doesn't get to be anywhere near as bad as the NE.

The State's largest Hispanic Heritage festival is hosted in Charlotte - this year it is Oct 6. Check it out.

I only ask because a friend of mine recently moved there for accounting and wanted me to move there with her too...which is a different story but I was at a totally different event and met someone from NC and we were talking and I mentioned Charlotte and he just smiled and said "Accounting job, huh?" Apparently it's big over there lol.
