Ally Bank
 

Does anyone have an Ally bank account? I have applied once but wasn't accepted and so just asking what everyone else's experience has been with opening an account.

I've had Ally Bank account since 07/2013. They've been great, they've given me two car loans as well. They used to have unlimited refunds of ATM fees but I guess people were abusing it so they put limit of $10 back a month, which works out to about three out of network withdrawals a month. They have a lot of in-network ATMs which don't cost anything.

I also have a savings account with them. Right now it's at like 2.3% interest rate; which isn't amazing, but it's way better than Chase's .000001%.

Why are you getting an online bank. Who do you go to complain to?

Go to a brick and mortar credit union, and then have a larger national bank.
One for the best loans and deals, and the other for nationwide access.

However the nationwide access is moot, since most banks have networks in their ATM.

Yep, I applied about a few months ago and was denied. I've heard nothing but good things about the bank. I'm thinking of reapplying.
