2021 expirations

My EAD expires 01/17/2021

I am planning on submitting my renewal packet this week. Is anyone else submitting a renewal packet this early?

I still have to go get passport photos and a copy of my EAD.

The most recent I-765 forms on the USCIS website expire 05/31/2020

Do you guys think this will be a problem?

Yes, loads of people because of the Supreme Court. I expire in May of 2021 and I sent my renewal last week.

Definitely send in your renewal now.
The 120 days before your DACA expires is just as a precautionary, so USCIS has adequate time to process your renewal. I got the following from:

https://www.uscis.gov/archive/renew-your-daca

Quote:

When to Renew
USCIS’ current goal is to process DACA renewal requests within 120 days. If your renewal request has been pending more than 105 days and you have not heard from us, please feel free to contact us.
In my case, both my work-permit and my daca expires 06/2020.

I sent my packet in on the first week of 04/2020.

Within two weeks, I got an email/text update on my case (04/20/20). My work-permit has been renewed and they will be mailing my new work-permit card this week.

My daca is still pending, but i'm certain it'll be approved within the week.

Good luck on your endeavors and let us know if you need any help.

p.s.

With the covid-19 closing many uscis sites, my biometrics were taken from previous renewals.

Your fee this time around should be $495.00. I used a money order.

I sent in two passport photos but I had to drive around, until finally I found a place that was taking photos. Many sites are closed right now, so make sure you get that taken care of early.

Where have you been? Yes, they do accept it earlier. They just don’t approve you until it hits the 150 day mark before you expire. I sent my last renewal very early as well.

I'm about to send my application today but I cannot find anyone that can take passport photos due to everything being closed.

Should I send the passport photo used in the last renewal (2018) or send it without passport photos?

Is CVS not open? They take pics.

Send with photos

If you already have passport photos, why take another? Just send the ones you have. It is hard to find places to take photos now. I took mine in Walgreens. I usually don’t send passport photos and still get approved but I sent this time just in case they need it since the service centers are closed and you don’t go there to take the biometrics and the photo.
