Why can’t Dem focus on DACA legislation first ?
 

Hi! All dreamers
There is one thing I don’t get it . Democrat party is aware of that passing Comprehensive Immigration reform is impossible . Why can’t they just focus on passing DACA legislation for now ? The Biden’s current proposal is way too broad . At least there should be a restriction such as only people who have been living in US over 10 years to be eligible . This way , it will have better chance getting GOP support .

Personally I support immigration reform + E verify + border security .

Nobody thinks CIR is going to pass including Biden. Biden went big so the small piece looks like a "compromise".

You don’t ask for a car your lowest acceptable offer. You ask for something bigger. The same thing here. Democrats can’t just ask for a DACA alone bill. By the time republicans have finishing raping it and cumming all over it, it’ll be worthless. Better to ask for something big and broad so when Republicans are done being pedos with it, it’s at least as good as a daca alone bill

Republicans benefit the worse the economy is... it will help them get reelected to power. Its in their best interest to slow thing down since Dems will take the blame, and if that happens... we ( Dreamers) will get pushed aside. Live up to the expectation of the people who put you in power.

For us, this is the biggest issue in the universe. For the people who voted him in, COVID and the economy is the biggest issue along with racial injustices in which we also fit in and undoing Trump's evils. We are definitely on the front burner this time around though. I'm old and can't remember the last time we had a chance like this. Will it actually happen? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ...Can't trust Graham.
