Update+plot twist: 5th renewal approved after 6 months. Now USPS misplaced my card 😭
I wanted to update on a March post regarding my 5th DACA renewal recently approved 6 months later (Nebraska).
I tried everything to speed up my renewal (councilman/congressman/ombudsman/letter +emails+calls to USCIS). In the end, nothing but waiting worked. I was finally approved when USPS made a horrible mistake and accidentally re-routed my card back to the sender this week …just filed a request to have my card re-sent out with USCIS and they said it will take 2weeks to a month to receive. I’m at my wits ends and have no more mental energy to deal. I’m also nearly 8 months pregnant. Has anyone gone through a lost/re-sent card situation? My corporate job is waiting for me but they can only continue to wait for so long :( |

I went through something similar. Mine showed delivered and it wasn’t in my mailbox. I lived in an apartment complex so all the mailboxes are grouped together. Anyway I hung up flyers and even the leasing office of the apartments sent out emails and texts to all the tenants to see if it ended up in someone’s mailbox. After 2 months of waiting I gave up and submitted another renewal and paid the fee all over again. Then waited another month, did fingerprints and a few weeks later got RFE, stating something about my card showing delivered and they needed proof I didnt have it. I was a few days from expiring at that point, I was scared. Then the original showed up in the mail the next day unannounced from a random address from an hour away. Hopefully your job can keep on waiting for you. It’s scary.
