Democrats blocked from including immigration reform in spending bill

She is way out of order in her response, her only answer should be related to the Byrd rule.

I do agree with you there. She is way out of line; 'sure it had budgetary impact but it also has a lot of other non fiscal impacts". Esp part where the 2005 precedent was 'bipartisan'

Back to zero. We continue to be in limbo.

Exactly. Being 'bipartisan' is not a Byrd rule requirement.

Let's be honest that this guy who wrote in on reddit is spot on:

Do any of you actually believe they didn’t know this would happen ahead of time? Why was Pelosi asking republicans to pass the Dream act during reconciliation talks if she was confident. Why was Biden trying for “fortify” DACA. Why was Durbin saying he would continue to try and protect dreamers. They all knew and lied to us for 3 months.

So what are the options for dems here? Some people say dems can just straight up ignore her? Other say dems can replace her? What is the most viable way for immigration to be included in the Reconciliation bill?

Is that path easier or harder to go for a narrower immigration bill with 60 votes in the Senate?

Looks like they are going with the third option, and sending her an alternate proposal...whatever that is...

I would say it is impossible to get 60 votes on any immigration proposal in the Senate.
