How risky is AP

Ive yet to run into a story where someone was rejected from re-entry after AP foreign travel back into the US, but is it still risky?
What if your CBP officer happens to be a bad apple who prevents you from re-entering?

There is a study program I want to try to pursue abroad, but I am also a US Medical student at a reputable school with hopes of starting residency in the next couple of years so I have a medium-a lot to lose if something goes wrong.

Is AP really guaranteed? If not, can you cite evidence or actual stories where people were denied? Thank you!

It has been safe so far. I'm currently out of the country on my 3rd AP. I always fly back to LAX. Good luck!

Nothing is guaranteed, but risk is low.

You answered your own question.

Only people who had issues are those that overstayed and didn't return to US within given time frame.

I believe the risk is fairly low based on all the people I have seen online who successfully traveled with AP.

However I think the risk is also dependent on the country you are visiting. I’m from a West African country and I believe the risk was high for me so I didn’t go. The reason for this is because when I called the airport rep in my country to explain DACA they did not understand.

I have seen many folks from South American countries successfully travel because they are familiar with DACA. If you are from there you should be fine

Slim to none IMO as long as you're exiting and entering within the allowable time frames as per your AP document and assuming you're not a criminal or have any such items in your records. I've been out in AP twice....2015 and 2016...both through JFK. No issues. Extremely quick talk with the agent and you're on your way.

It’s 100% safe, I’ve yet to hear anyone not being allowed to return back as long as they come back in their timeframe.
