Greyhound bus- risk?

I have a family member traveling from Orlando to Detroit in a greyhound. She’s undocumented but currently in an AOS process due to her citizen daughter who is sponsoring. She’s already done biometrics. Nowadays , would she be at risk of ice stopping and getting involved and worse case scenario , if so, would she be in any trouble that could ruin her AOS status?
Thanks in advance

You usually hear of that happening in or around the border states. I never hear of ICE on a bus on the east coast

despite the trolling and whatever, ive lived in orlando for 20 years

i wouldn't risk it, i know for sure Border Patrol loves to hang at the Amtrak Train stations and greyhound buses at the orlando and kissimmee area.

see if you can rent her a car and have her drop it off over there. less risky.

I've heard many mixed stories about flying while illegal, but i can tell you for a fact when my mom was here she flew a few times from MCO to Oregon without issue.

last time when i went to the virgin islands i saw illegals flying too to california and such, all they did was show their valid passport.

if she likes to live dangerously and risk it, the more documents she has with her the better.

just FYI illegals that get caught in the orlando/kissimmee area are immediately teleported to the Miami detention center and from the stories i have heard of the close friends which have been caught, the judges there show no mercy and kick you out quick, mfs wont even let you fight the case sometimes.

Take a plane instead.

It sounds like living in a southern state sucks. Why do people who are here illegally still live in places like Florida and texas?

Isn’t a plane more risky? Since there’s an off chance they could look at your passport and bring you aside for questioning .. I guess both are risky I just thought greyhound would be less risky nowadays

I think Demise may be able to help with this question (she's very knowledgeable in the technical aspects of immigration). If I am not mistaken I believe she cannot be removed until a decision is made on her AOS case. I.e. as long as there is a running petition for her for AOS then it sort of "freezes" her status until USCIS makes a decision.
