2023 DACA Renewals: Quick Questionnaire

Data is powerful, so let's share some. For those of you that have renewed in the last 4 or so months:

1] Did you renew online or by mail?

2] Did you renew early or roughly on time (around 150 days prior to expiration) or later (less than 150 days prior to expiration)?

3] If you renewed by mail, did you send passport photos?

4] Did USCIS reuse previous biometrics or did you have to go in?

5] How did you pay for your filing fees?

6] Did you split your payment up between the 821D and 765 filing fees (per the new filing language associated with the I-821D application instructions)?
Quote:

Pay each filing fee separately. We are transitioning to electronically processing immigration benefit requests, which requires us to use multiple systems to process your package. Because of this, you must pay each filing fee separately for any form you submit. We may reject your entire package if you submit a single, combined payment for multiple forms.
7] Did or are you experiencing any delays in having your renewal approved?

8] Did or are you experiencing any other issues with your renewal?

Re: 2023 DACA Renewals: Quick Questionnaire

1) I did it by mail. I saw some posts here about people having trouble with the online service and telling to do mail instead. I got scared and paranoid. I ended up doing it by mail. I'm glad I listened because my stuff was approved timely.

2) Later. Less than 150 day prior to expiration.

3) Yes, I sent new passport pics.

4) They've reused my biometrics.

5) I paid with money orders.

6) Yes, I followed the instructions to the letter. I read them 1000 times to make sure I wouldn't screw up.

7) No delays. Praise Jesus.

8) No. Thank God.

This is a great idea. I've been interested in seeing just how the online renewals benefit us.

Quote:

1] Did you renew online or by mail? Mail

2] Did you renew early or roughly on time (around 150 days prior to expiration) or later (less than 150 days prior to expiration)? Early (greater than 150 days).

3]If you renewed by mail, did you send passport photos? Yes.

4]Did USCIS reuse previous biometrics or did you have to go in? Yes.

5] How did you pay for your filing fees? Personal Check

6] Did you split your payment up between the 821D and 765 filing fees (per the new filing language associated with the I-821D application instructions)? No, my application was sent in prior to the new instructions being rolled out.

7] Did or are you experiencing any delays in having your renewal approved?

8] Did or are you experiencing any other issues with your renewal? No. It came around the date I expected it (between 140-150 days before expiration).

I’ve been following Reddit about online apps and it seems most issues have been fixed. I don’t see people having issues with delays. And it seems they’re prioritizing renewals close to expiring rather than acceptance date
