ORAL ARGUMENTS IN THE CASE AGAINST DACA ARE SET FOR JUNE 1, 2023

U.S. Judge Andrew Hanen won't rule on the legality of deportation protections, and work permits for 600,000 DACA recipients until after scheduled oral arguments in the lawsuit led by Republican states that seek to terminate the program.

In 2021, Judge Hanen ordered the Biden administration to stop enrolling new immigrants in DACA and agreed with Republican-led states' argument that the program was illegal.

He will now review the request by this coalition of Republican-led states led by Texas to terminate DACA over a two-year period after the Biden administration transformed the program into a federal regulation. With oral arguments set for June 1st, we can expect a decision anytime after those take place

No use on even applying for renewal early, since they won’t approve outside the 150 day mark, right?? My 150 day mark is not until September. ��

USCIS WILL renew you before the 150 day mark this time only. i asure that.

im basically the reason why the Hotel industry is pushing hard for us since years when i was working in that sector some years ago. i really despise putting this out there because now i feel like i have failed you guys.

This will still likely go to the Supreme Court, and renewals will likely still be allowed during the appeal process. There is no reason for the fear mongering at this point in time. Keep up with the news and renewing your DACA.

and what do you think the SCOTUS is going to do? legalize everyone? are you insane? its gonna get kicked to congress and congress WILL gridlock while C33 is basically terminated. really getting tired of you downplaying everything dude. you are abusing your admin powers here deleting threads and opinions you dont like. instead of doing the appropriate thing and aid people to prepare for the worst.

"You guys know that the state of Texas (the plaintiff) is asking that when this ends that there should be two years from decision date for more renewals? Basically meaning 4 more years of daca no matter the result (if you time it right)."

Stop stressing. DACA is not going anywhere.

I just have a hard time believing they will pull the rug out under us. DACA has been around for 10+ years and we have strong ties to the USA. If there is a wind down period, it shouldnt be just 2 years, it should also be a 10 year wind down period cause it took us 10 years to build our life here. They can’t just uproot that.
