Fourth and Fifth Amendments: These amendments protect individuals against unreasonable searches and seizures and guarantee due process of law, respectively. The U.S. Supreme Court has interpreted the term "person" in these amendments to include all individuals within the United States, regardless of their immigration status. This means that undocumented immigrants are entitled to protections such as due process and protection against self-incrimination.

Second Amendment: The right to keep and bear arms, as outlined in the Second Amendment, has been subject to different legal interpretations concerning undocumented immigrants. Federal law, specifically 18 U.S.C. § 922(g)(5), prohibits individuals who are unlawfully present in the United States from possessing firearms. Courts have generally upheld this prohibition, reasoning that the Second Amendment rights are not extended to those without legal status in the country.

The distinction arises from the interpretation of constitutional text and the government's interest in regulating firearm possession. While the Fourth and Fifth Amendments use the term "person," the Second Amendment refers to "the right of the people," which has been interpreted in this context to apply to members of the political community—typically citizens and lawful residents. Consequently, undocumented immigrants do not enjoy Second Amendment protections in the same way they do other constitutional rights.

So basically Person means all people. But People means legal residents.

lmao

Guns are cool though but I have legit never felt I needed one in like 15 years. Turns out that not staying in shady places where shady people hang out is the first line of defense. A lot of the people who own guns are probably the type who shouldn't i.e. have the wrong temperament for them but the 2nd amendment makes it trivial for them to own guns.

They also ignore the part of it needing to be a well regulated militia. Random dude with a gun is not a well regulated militia.

"A militia is a group of citizens who are trained for military service and can be called upon in emergencies. Militias can be used to support regular troops or to defend a local area. "

valid question. i shall look into it. my community has sit downs with our local police officers once every other week. I'll try to go to one of those and ask them directly and see whats their take.

Leave that gun shit alone. It legit just makes it more likely you will die from gunfire. Its like a negative-luck token.
