Question about Traveling

Hey so I recently got my green card. I went to dmv to update my id to real id they ran my green card and they said I am coming back as a temporary category since i had daca before and they told me i have to come back in few weeks to see if there is update. I told them it would be hard to come back. Then after 5 minutes then ran it again and I came back as permanent resident l. I will be traveling and coming back first time on green card. I am worried if they deny my entry? Is that possible if you have a green card? Thank you!

Why would they deny your entry? You'll probably be okay and it'll be uneventful as long as your follow the rules and don't bring in anything crazy.

Anything is possible. They detained a German green card holder for the incredible crime of having smoked weed ten years ago. The streets are safer already. Nah, relax you'll probably be okay.

They might check your phone though. You can read up online how to prepare for inspection. Crazy that the country has devolved into this, but the 20% that voted for this want it that way. A reduction in civil liberties for just barely any safety increase. They talk bigly about a mandate, but they won by barely just 1%. Where's the so called mandate. It's not a mandate if they have to keep saying it is lmao.

**Here is the exact reason why you are experiencing this issue:** Your DACA-based Employment Authorization Document (EAD) is still active in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) system. Although your Green Card is current and should override the DACA EAD, the state does not have the authority to override the federal SAVE (Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements) system. As a result, the state is unable to issue you a new REAL ID until your current state ID expires and a new one can be issued based on your permanent resident status.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is responsible for determining who may enter or be denied entry into the United States, and it does not play a role in the REAL ID issuance process.

Okay thank you for detailed explanation. It does feel weird because I have an active dada work permit, ead from I-485 and green card now so I got stressed ed if the cbp I might not come back as permanent resident even though I have the physical green card with me?
