George W. Bush--The Best President.
Maybe he is not the best president, but he sure made us laugh for this pass 8 years. Some will say that he doomed the country and so on and so on, but I sure laughed watching him. But again, I'm the type of person that looks for the brighter side of things.
Now that his presidency is ending, I felt it was proper to pay a little tribute to his most notorious talent: making people laugh. Here is a video of his legacy to the history of the United States. If you ask me, is way more fun than that of Washington. :-) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hBWL3T4YZS8 |
Re: George W. Bush--The Best President.
Ha ha, i watched this video number of times. He sure is hilarious and will be remembered as the idiotic president.
Thx for posting entertaining clip. |
Re: George W. Bush--The Best President.
He's not a dolt, but he acts like one. I guess that's funny. While he's not an idiot, the vast majority of his policies are irresponsible, misguided and, often, immoral. I think in most respects George W. Bush's presidency is and has been a failure. For virtually the first six years of his administration, both houses of Congress were controlled by Republicans, and those Senators and Congressmen rubberstamped almost every idea and policy of his that came through the tubes (the most notable exception: immigration, which was not so much a partisan issue as it was a paleoconservative/neoconservative/liberal issue), and look where it has gotten us. 9/11 occured, we're in two wars and still haven't captured the man responsible for the 9/11 attacks, education is now burdened with an unfunded performance-based mandate, which calls for teaching to the test (No Child Left Untest--I mean, Behind), we have a city that's still recovering from the slow/non-existent response to its drowning in 2005, we've lost our place and reputation as the moral guide to the world (Guantanomo Bay, Abu Ghraib, the PATRIOT Act among others), and the national debt's about a trillion dollars, among other things. Add that to the fact that this administration has been one of the most closed, corrupt and zealously ideological (Justice Department, Valerie Plame, Halliburton etc.) and you have one steaming pile of s***.
To be fair, Democrats have been in control the past two years, but haven't made enough progress, much to my disappointment. But to be fair again, they have made some advances, and only have fifty-one Senators, with an at least sixty majority required to actually get anything seriously controversial done in the notoriously slow and conservative ("conservative" in the sense of resistance to change) Senate. One can only hope they get to at least sixty this election season. I didn't mean to lecture juang with this online catharsis, but seeing the possibility of the Failure-In-Chief going down in history as the funniest president we've ever had instead of the worst is like seeing a bank robber get away with robbing Fort Knox. Then again, maybe the designation "the funniest" would be a good thing for Bush and his "legacy." And looking at the bright side of life is a good thing to do. (Monty Python anyone?) I think the real funniest (in the best sense) presidents would have to be Abraham Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt, and Harry Truman. The least funniest would be Calvin Coolidge. Thank you and goodnight. |

Come on, relax a little. This is "simple minded humor". Sit back and have some laughs. You'll see that things go smother in the brightest side of things. |

Dumbya? What an idiot. He falls off Segways, y'know.

As for what's considered boring, I think keeping an eye on one's elected officials is one of the most American things someone can do. I'll admit that I like going into detail maybe a little too much at times. But I really do believe that the general consensus among much of society, particularly young people, which states that taking a serious stance on issues makes one a wet blanket, a nerd or boring is misguided. But I do see your point in bringing what I said to this thread, considering its intent. I also agree that laughter can work miracles for people down in the dumps. I guess I should have started another thread for it! |

This is great. It's good to see someone who's articulate completely throw them off. |

j/k. And no, you don't have to answer this comment with another 3 paragraph reply. Let me challenge you...if you want to answer, just do it in one sentence that expresses ALL of what you have to say. Oh, and the sentence can't have more than 5 words. I know you can come out with one of those you're really smart. I'll give you an idea: "F**k you juang" One simple sentence that says alot with only 3 words. |
Re: George W. Bush--The Best President.
I know it was meant as a joke, but I don't sound like a machine. That was the whole point of the previous post. A machine is a ditto-head, a clone, an MTV-er, a poser, a super consumer. A machine is the person who doesn't really question what's going on around them and accepts things the way they are. I'm not saying you or anybody else is like this, as exemplified by your Che avatar and presence on DAP, but rather I am merely trying to make a point.
And I've given plenty of one liners before. I've also done short little couple sentence snippets. Also, those long paragraphs. I didn't think I was particularly known on DAP for that last category of response. I just felt like venting today, and so I wrote a particularly long entry. If you felt it was inappropriate, then I apologize. |
Re: George W. Bush--The Best President.
I found another video. I honestly think I will never forget this dorky funny president.
REMINDER: this is only a little tribute to George W. Bush and his ability to make people laugh (often at him) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_El48uiQ0mQ |
