We get fire season, not hurricanes.
It's spreading pretty quickly right now--
and draining the state budget.

This would be the one expense that I don't mind having Arnold's permission on.

It might spread to my town soon.

I am sorry to hear that. Don't hesitate to evacuate when the authorities tell you to. I'm here in the Basin, but I can see the orangish-red tinge in the sky, just like in 2007.

The smoke looks gorgeous when it covers the sun.
We got a really good view during the Cessnon fire last month--I had to take a picture of it.

But schools are rarely closed here.
