why me?

i work almost everyday for like 12 hours and i cant even be driving legaly thats why i drive an old car.
later i see other same age guys driving bmw, benz and they dont even work. they just going arround having fun spending money with a bunch of cute girls.
when even before i get my pay check i know is gonna be all gone in rent nd helping my mom out.

then i really ask my self 'why me im just 18 i just wanna have fun like those guys' nd sometimes i just start crying.

There's really no reason to get that upset over it. Judging from your Bride avatar, I can tell you're into cars, I am too I mean I'm wild about them but our circumstances just don't allow us to have them. You honestly just have to accept it for the time being, it's the situation you've been placed into and that's it. I know it's harsh but it's the truth.

You're lucky to even be driving, most of the members on this site would KILL to even have a beat up old piece of crap to drive around instead of having to rely on others...

Your time will come, there's really no reason to be upset about it although I know it's hard. Let these guys drive around in BMW's and spend money with cute girls lol, if that's REALLY what you want in life then frankly that's a pretty sad aspiration. You at least work and have something fulfilling to do like helping your mom and family.

You still have plenty of time to enjoy life, your time will come, be patient.

I agree with cookieEater

I know our situation sucks and everything, and its really cool that you are helping your mom, but stop whining because you cant have fun or dont have a nice car...after all, there are bigger problems than that. (Like being able to afford school or keeping your job)

Rest assured, its not just you, its most of us, if not all, who dont have nice cars or cars at all.

So consider yourself lucky you can drive and have a job.

=/

Don't stress to much on it because honestly it's not worth it. Although our situation may suck, ultimately it serves as a lesson, well it has for me at least, about appreciating the things we do have in life. Appreciate what you have right now and forget about the things you can't acquire.

I second that. Ill take that rust bucket any day if it means not having to ask for a ride. Because when you ask, sometimes it makes you feel... less, especially when your 20 or older like me.

Keep your head up, there's a light at the end of this tunnel even though it's still dark. and try to think of it one step at a time. Sometimes when it gets hard, i find enough energy to get through the day. Other times i just find checkpoints as goals to reach like right now im just trying to get to the end of school or trying to make it to the end of the year. little goals like that, yeah know what i mean?

Well win our goal someday. But stay active. I've just recently learned about this site. Now im trying different ways to spread the word around my community. Find ways to help share our situation, it helps pass the time.

when i feel the same way i just remember this saying that was said to me a long time ago

"God is fair, everything balances out in the universe someway, somehow."

The stress and sadness we're going through now will be balanced someway in the future with happiness and relief, i really believe that.

I wish I could tell you that I feel sorry, and that 2009 is going to be our year and that by 2010 we will all have arrived to "the promised land", but I can't. Politics is a very unpredictable world, and sooner or later every politician is going to backstab us. Let's hope that at least is not on DREAM.

All I can say is that you have to man-up, suck it up and keep on going. I know all this I'm saying sounds very harsh and mean, but the truth is that in this wild world only the strong survive.

Now you can keep on envying all these "rich guys" that have nice cars and spent time with beautiful women, or you can stop it and try to look for the brighter side of your life. (and find a way to spent time with beautiful women, even if you're poor ;-))

Back in high school, I was in a situation very similar like yours, my mom lost her job due to the September 11, 2001 attacks and me and my brother had to carry pretty much all the costs from the apartment, you know, bills, and food.

Long story short, everything came up right, and as time passed, I was able to get better and better jobs until now, of course I had to choose a more practical career than that I would had wanted back when I was a kid, but hey, everything is going well for me...or at least not that bad.

I know you will pull through, you just need to keep on going.
