Brazilians or Portuguese speaking people!
Hello!
I heard that President Lula is going to meet President Obama later on this month!! I guess if many of us emailed him he could talk to Obama about immigration reform and the dream act!!! Let Mr. President Lula know we exist!!! https://sistema.planalto.gov.br/falepr2/index.php This is in Portuguese, but there's also a spanish, french and english part... (just click on the different flags on the top right of the page to switch the language) maybe non Brazilians could email him as well!!! People! Let's speak up!!! |

Re: Brazilians or Portuguese speaking people!
Which school do you go to in Mass? I have been thinking in spending the summer in another state to get a break form NY and mass sounds like an interesting place. I would be taking summer classes at the school.

Re: Brazilians or Portuguese speaking people!
Ok, so I just read this article http://www.wickedlocal.com/somervill...to-contributor and was wondering if you guys know of any others out there highlighting Brazilian/Portuguese Dreamies. Reason I ask is cuz I work for Petrobras here in the states and seeing that microsoft just expressed support for DREAM I'm going to send some emails to my bosses and PR peeps in the Co. to bring the issue up to them and ask about the possibility of Petrobras expressing support. I want to highlight the fact that I am an ex-dreamie and that this issue affects their community so I want to attach stories similar to the one above (most of my co-workers and bosses are Brazilian). Even though the US unit is a small part of the whole Co. I just want to bring it up to them...suggestions? comments?

Hi...
I don't know if there's any other article on that...but I'll try to find...All I know is that brazilians talk A LOT about the CIR but most of them don't really know what the dream act is...I'm trying to educate as much people I can here where I live...There's also a brazilian radio station here, and I'm calling there to see if they talk about the dream act... When dream act was introduced, a couple of brazilian newspaper had a column about it...but it was just informing what it was... I really don't know if Petrobras will support it, but who knows! It is worth trying...It's a really big company... Thank you for supporting us! I really appreciate it! |
