Was that self-employment income or income from a w2?

If it's coming from a w2 I suggest you go ahead and file since you might receive a refund. It's your money why let the gov keep it?

You can try as long as you qualified for EIC those years and the only thing that you were missing was an SSN. Good luck!

Yea it really does depend on the circumstances of that person then imagine if they're claimed as a dependent they won't see that money. :roll:

If you have any withholdings you should go ahead and do it. Go some place that does it for free!

Either 0 or 1. I recommend putting down 0 that way you won't risk owing anything.

You see what's affecting you is the fact that they only withheld 850. On the w4 for that w2 how many exemptions did you claim?

Also, you will not be able to claim EIC because your AGI...

That would be very helpful since if you do go somewhere to get your return prepared and you show them your ssn and they see that it says not valid for employment then you might not be able to claim...

Yea he'll have to file a return to report the portion of the scholarship that is taxable income. Was there anything else left over? If so then whatever that amount is it's considered income as well...
