Paxton's back - "An order permanently enjoining Defendants from issuing or renewing"
Maybe an expedited shutting down of DACA is the last hope Congress will have to do something. Again, maybe.
Plaintiffs respectfully request that the Court issue the following relief

Re: Finally, a bipartisan deal to help the "Dreamers"
Agreed. When there is no real action taking place, weird theories will fill the void. It would really be a Christmas Miracle if something benefitting DACA passes in lame duck.

Re: Finally, a bipartisan deal to help the "Dreamers"
Let’s hope we will just see it as part of omnibus even though Tillis has said on multiple occasions that he wants immigration as a stand-alone bill.

Re: Finally, a bipartisan deal to help the "Dreamers"
Sen. Tillis says there’s still no agreement on some Border Patrol elements of immigration framework and they won’t have text until that’s worked out. Asked whether he feels like a deal is out of...

Re: Finally, a bipartisan deal to help the "Dreamers"
Eagle Act is as unrealistic as Dream Act :) What house passes doesn't really matter. Remember, they passed, clapped, laughed, at American Dream and Promise Act as well :)

i think we should not get overly pessimistic. the fact the durbin / tillis aren't talking in public about immigration bill, doesn't necessarily mean it's a bad thing.
one good thing is that...

Exactly. I think people are unnecessarily worried about 10 Reps. Math is there when it comes to Republicans between Tillis, retirees, newly re-elected Lisa M, etc
It’s the senate dems and even...

Re: Finally, a bipartisan deal to help the "Dreamers"
Realistically, I don’t see how Senate democrats will accept it either. What’s being offered is Succeed act. Like 10 years of condition GC, then 5 year GC and then citizenship. Many DACA folks will...

So the Shenanigans started.

Re: Finally, a bipartisan deal to help the "Dreamers"
You are right. Also, as long as extreme ends of both sides (left and right) are kept at bay, a Dreamer deal is possible and 10 GOP senators know that they can withstand the backlash from far right.
