Good luck, everyone! I most likely won't be renewing because my adjustment of status interview is on June 6th, so it makes no sense to pay extra money for nothing.

The waiver doesn't eliminate the priority date waiting list. But yes, you'll be eligible to apply for the waiver once your priority date is current.

You don't need to show your social security card. You can decline to show it. As long as you have a valid EAD, you will be fine.
If they refuse to hire you, they could be fined by the government...

As soon as they redefine "extreme hardship" and do rulemaking on all the new guidelines and regulations, you should apply for a waiver. But speak to an attorney when the definitions and rules change....

Here's the DHS memorandum on this issue, which will cover all relatives of USCs and LPRs with approved I-130s.
Right now, this means all children. ALL. Not only minor children.
