I dont know if this counts since I graduated from school back in 2004.
I had to work to pay for personal stuff, rent, books, tools and school working in a carwash since I was about 17. I'm very thankfull that I had that job since I was in high school, since it was that that led me finance my education as a technician.
In the mornings I would go to school to learn a trade (in a two year community college, when I was in high school, I would only work during the weekends)...in the afternoons when I didn't work, I was kind of an "intern" at the place where I'm currently working. Which was 3 times per week. So I spent quite sometime without really a day off. But thanks to this great career that is refrigeration, I was able to be hired once I graduated. And now I'm making an ok life, and basically the last three years have been pretty much filled with fun, girls, adventures and parties.
I guess it is true that good things do happen to good people

. So, to those that are in that difficult situation where I was some years ago:
Hang in there...things are gonna get easier.
